Indeed VLC has about 120-130 pax per flight before TV came on the route... they now have about 90... which means that both Vueling and TV have different markets. TV stimulates traffic out of BRU market whereas Vueling is quite successfull out of VLC.. possible because they have massive advertising there...

You are certainly right, FlightSimCrew, but I hope for you that DG Competition of the European Commission does not read you. That is the kind of "agreement" they do not like very much.
Well these kind of things happen all over the place.. look at the frequency cutbacks from SNBA and BA on MAnchester and Birmingham and the price evolution, look at recent development on MAD/FCO/BCN... all the same "informal" discussions I presume

Indeed JetBlue Management is represented in the shareholder structure of Vueling however they only hold a marginal part of the company in hands. There is absolutely no strategic plan on establishing a JetBlue II in Europe and put millions of euro's in it. Thats pure speculation but a very nice public relations move from Vueling. Every airline has a big money spender behind it. I remember an interview with Richard Branson where he was asked how he had become a millionaire. He replied : "Well first I was a billionaire and then I bought an airline".

These words clearly define the current status of the business. All because some hot shot people want to be in the spotlights and start their airlines (Van Gaever with VG and Delsey, Hasson&Gutelmann with CityBird but also Aegean, Sterling, ..) They all make good business plans, start the airline and sell no seats.. than they dump prices to fill the aircraft and soon they are out of business.. IN the meantime they are hurting airline like SNBA, Virgin Express, VLM who have been around longtime...

Just my 2 cents

I think you really might be wrong here. They main shareholders are the people behind Jet Blue which is one of main cariers in the US. They want to achieve the same thing with Vueling.
The main goal for a shareholder is to earn something from his investment.
1. through a dividend pay out.. -> risky business as airline mostly show negative profit statements lately.

2. through floatation of the company. -> R. Branson set up Virgin Blue with 50 million USD, after a couple of years he sold 49% of those shares for 1.4billion USD. Thats a way to earn a quick and easy profit.
