Frontier A319 N924FR was ferried from Tampa to Ostrava for paint as OO-SSS for SN. (source: Skyliner)
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
There was another standing at Ostrava I thought? The OO-SSL?
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
according to airfleets OO-SSJ (N908FR) and OO-SSL (N912FR) are about to enter the fleet so those 2 are still in Ostrava..

They are about to enter the fleet for quite a long time.CTBke wrote:according to airfleets OO-SSJ (N908FR) and OO-SSL (N912FR) are about to enter the fleet so those 2 are still in Ostrava..
Just a small question: why does it take so long to get a leased plane ready for SN-service?
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
indeed, but first they have to ferry the plane to Europe, modify (having the seats delivered as well) painting it and completing all the paperwork.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Also, while in maintenance, the aircraft are extensively evaluated by SN inspectors. Both technically, but also the records and history. Any descrapency will have to be dealt with. Possibly prolonging downtime. discussions at the side are who is to pay for these issues. Generally aircraft coming from ouside the EASA zone take longer to get up to spec than aircraft from inside the EASA zone. Only when all issues are dealt with, is the aicraft presented to the BCAA for inspection, and if ok, will receive the proper certificates to start operating it.

I see three options: Tomorrowland, Star Alliance or a new 'Belgian Icons' livery.airbuske wrote:For paintingavroflyer_1 wrote:OO-SFV is on its way to Abu Dhabi as BEL9901... Anyone has an idea why?
EDIT: or repainting in standard SN-livery

I would only expect a standard SN-livery, there hasn't been any sign of any upcoming special liveryskumfiduse wrote:I see three options: Tomorrowland, Star Alliance or a new 'Belgian Icons' livery.airbuske wrote:For paintingavroflyer_1 wrote:OO-SFV is on its way to Abu Dhabi as BEL9901...
