FMB, by air 880 nm away from FIH, cannot be compared with the latter. Very nice and calm environment, almost everything available. A very nice place to live and work for the pilot with a pioneer attitude. The one who likes his job and is proud of what he's doing. No good for uniform show offs with push button attitude

And just how many adventurous pioneers do you think you'll still find in the glass cockpits of today's airlines, if I may ask?

People who have joined an airline did so with a certain career plan in mind and it should be obvious adventurous and pioneering bush flying has never been high up on their agenda. This doesn't mean it can not be considered for a while if it fits their grand plan, but only if there is a solid legal, social and financial package in place, offering the same standards of living as in Europe, otherwise they clearly won't bother.

Can't say they are wrong, really.

Libhomeradar shows a flight by OO-MJE yesterday (Jan 17). Test flight? Or ferry out to be painted?

Just some partial info on the crew problem. I know for sure (2 independent sources) that they are looking for some ab-initio & low-time pilots to fly the Classic etc... Ofcourse you can see the advert on their job-section of their website as well... ;)

Korongo that is (hence the reason why I posted in this topic... )
Recruitment for B.Air itself is on hold for the moment, as far as I know... ;)

Ferry flights to FBM OOMJE and OOLTM are postponed to the end of march.

OOMJE left today to Southend for painting.

On his return flights he will perform flights for b.air to European destinations (to train crew again).

LYS is one of the destinations, don't know the other ones...

So we'll have a Korongo-painted 146 flying around Europe?

You can always ask themselve on their Facebook or Twitter-page. I think they'll be more than happy to sell you a ticket!

Et Voila,
Dear "Facebook user"

We will indeed for a limited period of time operate some of our European flights with an aircraft in Korongo Airlines livery. However, no detailed schedule is available, so unfortunately, there is no way of making sure that the flight you would be booking will be operated with this specific aircraft.

Kind regards,
the Brussels Airlines Facebook team
;)

If you want to fly on it, you'll have to keep a very good eye on the route network and litterally book your ticket last minute at the airport (don't be surprised about the cost of such a ticket, BTW).

Currently there are no special flights foreseen, although maybe you should try to convince SN to do just that?

I doubt they will be very willing to do that however, as the aim is to keep Korongo as low profile as possible until it is really operating in FBM.
