The good weather keeps going on.

On October 15, around 1800LT, frequent visitor CSA A310-300 was cruising W.
The contrail was a certain distance behind, but the plane was nicely sunlit.

Hi Stef,

I saw that one as well!

OK050 PRG-JFK... but no reg unfortunately.

Another nice overflight (first time I saw them) was EIR305 CTA-DUB-SNN (A320).

Others of today include OHY817 Ercan-MAN A321, CDG-KIX AF B77W, CX260 CDG-HKG B744, EY303 AUH-LHR A332, AI121 DEL-LHR B744, AC877 FRA-YVR B763, UA933 FRA-IAD B772, AA089 BRU-ORD B763 (low over Ghent), and also very low over Ghent was BG011 DC10 on its positioning flight from OST to BRU.

@Stef: your IR B747SP shot, two pictures above, was IR711 THR-LHR, reg EP-IAD. The aircraft landed in LHR at 11:40lt on Runway 27L and went to Terminal 3 Gate 30 ;)

Fred, thx for the interesting details on Iran Air.

Today, Oct 17, conditions were fine with no radiation. Trailing Cirrus was the only problem

Around 1452LT this A6-SMR of Dubai Air Wing was cruising W.
Btw I saw him a few times last couple of months.
Image

And around 1843LT this A320 in basic Air Jamaica c/s was cruising W.
I'm wondering what's the story behind this boy?

Hi Stef,

You saw one of the two former Air Jamaica planes, now flying for Eirjet...

Eirjet have a fleet of 3 A320's, with one aircraft in full EIR colours, and the other two in former JM colours.

I knew someone would or could give an answer, so thx Fred.
I'm sure it was one of the Eirjet planes. Fred, you even gave a hint in your previous post. Must be magic  .

Today, Oct 18, conditions were far from impressive: lots of midnoon radiation and in the afternoon thick Cirrus came in. But some huge contrails were formed.

This journey starts with an all white Classic B747-200 cruising W around 1433LT.
Seems a non American airline: any suggestions?
Image

Cyprus A330-200 cruising W around 1509LT, at this point radiation was gone.
Image

Royal Jordanian A310-300 cruising relative low to W around 1518LT, perhaps a cargo plane?
Image

And of course the contrails self: this was a Speedbird B747-400 cruising E around 1616LT.
Image

Afterwards Cirrus was to thick so I had to lower a few flight level...catching a Kalitta.

The RJ A310 is a freighter. You can see that the registration underneath the wing starts with F- . Recently all pax A310's were moved to the JY-register while the freighters rest on the F-register.

Thx Rob,

meanwhile I found the answer to the white Jumbo: it must be pic, so yet another Dubai Air Wing movement.

...is the point in the sky directly overhead.

So I meant that the distance between the camera & aircraft must be as small as possible. See first picture of this sequence. But a small angle is of course better, otherwise you get only belly shots.

Today, Oct 19, conditions were relative poor. The contrails, if they did occur, were relative short and low clouds were numerous. But I managed to get some shots, but nothing special.

Perhaps this one is the most special: the sole classic pax Jumbo of EL AL still wearing the old c/s.
It was going through the zenith around 1752LT cruising E.
Image

The Korean B744 was presumable heading for LFPG, taken around 1754LT.
Image

And this Mytravel Airbus was nicely sunlit, heading for the U.K. around 1802LT.

Today, Oct 20, only a few gaps in the clouds but when it did crystal clear conditions.

Iran Air A300 cruising to EGLL around 1232LT.
Image

An Gemini MD11 with blue engines crossing the zenith heading E around 1242LT.
Image

And the last one an Etihad Airways A330-200 cruising W around 1817LT.
I guess we gonna have a closer inspection on these birds at the end of this month.

Another summerly day on Oct 27, so some dot spotting.

Around 1743LT a B747-400(F) of SIA Cargo passed.
This was presumable 9V-SFP enroute Singapore-Delhi-Sharjah-Heathrow as SQ7396.

Image

Around 1816LT sunset conditions for this Qatar Airways A330-300.
This was A7-AEA enroute Doha-Heathrow as QR0001

Another summerly day on Oct 30 with a top temperature in Belgium of 24°C :!: .
Fine weather is part of dot spotting. Sadly there were few contrails formed today.

This A300-600 of Lufthansa, passing to the W around 1545LT, was one of many without a contrail.
Image

And this "contrailing" A300-600 of Kuwait was on its way to Heathrow, passing the area around 1613LT.

last week i saw some of 747 contrails over my house in south west England. I was looking through my telescope to see what airline they were and managed to pick out Kalitta Air, Singapore Cargo, Air India and one which was completely white - which i believe is Air Atlanta Icelandic. they were all heading east on the same path.
