People, let’s stop with this drama! Can anyone explain this guy that we are in Europe and here the planes are checked and if any aircraft is not fit for flying, it doesn’t fly!
Yes, that's the problem it does not fly, 6 cycles a day for a more than 30 years A/C it's quite a rough flight schedule, structure fatigue is higher on high cycles A/C's, night will be busy on the ramp in Antwerp, and without a spare A/C, the slightest delay in the operation will have a lot of impact on customer perception. I'm not talking about an AOG, that would be catastrophic with only one A/C.
On the fuel aspect, yes a Turboprop burns less fuel than a jet, but from ANT you need to have a full cabin for your equation to work, if you compare with a BA 320 taking off from BRU to London with 150 (+)pax capacity.
So, you see criticizing a new operator is always easy, this post mainly to answer all the attack on Air Belgium, particularly from the northern member of this forum.
One of them who likes to spotlight financial difficulties of AB, in the hope that this will be caught and spread by journalist visiting this forum. A kind of psychological warfare who aims at damaging the image of the said airline. For what reason?, I guess it employs and give specialised jobs to too many W.
Although, huge part of the work force in AB is from VL.
You criticize?... I critisize too. It's tit for tat.
Got it boy's?
