OO-SFW is having a C-check in Madrid now. Interior, galleys and baggage bins will also be renewed.

LX-LGX, I think you misunderstood the article. The A330 is at the moment in Zurich.
On airliners.net you can find a picture of it in the LX hangar.

There you go, this plane is bought, not leased.
If it were leased from some Spanish entity who leased it first to Air-madrid it would not have been abnormal that the airplane would have had its C-check in Madrid.
