Attacking fire in such a big building is almost impossible. Reasons? fire consists of 3 major items:fokker_f27 wrote:But the fire must have spread fast. - fuel: with all the fluids, liquids, oils, etc... located in the building there is indeed enough material to burn,
- heat: at a certain time temperature was extremely high
- oxygene: plenty of it available to keep the fire going
take one of these 3 elements away and the fire will go out, but where to start ?

A specialised company is removing loose metal parts of the remaining construction. This intervention was required to maintain safety. Due to metal tiredness, heavy rain and wind there was a danger that some parts would fall down.
The ultimate cause of the fire has still not been determined.
