Why not strike until the elevators are fixed? That would be an approach to the problem in true BRU fashion...lumumba wrote:That can be a good idea but we can also talk about it here it is a forum no!!!Tompompier wrote:So, instead of complaining on here about the elevators... Why don't you send a mail to Interparking, and maybe things get changed.

agree.convair wrote:For once I'd tend to agree with "lumumba": I use P3 quite often and the lifts system is not too convenient; the ring announcing their arrival is a bit faint and, specially when you're pushing a loaded trolley, it's not so easy to rush from one lift to another.lumumba wrote:No listen I'm not alone in this situation when I wait for the elevators...teach wrote:
You're kidding right?
I had already discussion in the elevator with other passengers about it .
But like I said it is not a big problem but it's not practical.
Needs maintenance , things are deteriorating.
broken tyles, dust & dirt,
also when you look thru window you see a mess on the bottom level

Not sure this has anything to do with the police unions, as you have the same traffic jams on the highway to the Belgian Coast.sean1982 wrote:Another couple of 1000 people who will never use BRU again. Well done police unions!

I don't think this problem existed before the Police checkpoints or at least not so bad that people had to leave there car to go by foot.sn26567 wrote:Not sure this has anything to do with the police unions, as you have the same traffic jams on the highway to the Belgian Coast.sean1982 wrote:Another couple of 1000 people who will never use BRU again. Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Most press reports only mention "long queue to Brussels Airport" and they all have one source: Belga. Flemish tv VRT has some more details (their news desk has more staff because VRT gets some 300 mio € each year from the Flemish taxpayers). VRT reconfirms the huge problems on the E40 near Wetteren (= Mainland to coast), and regarding Brussels Airport, they wrote this:
In brief: The traffic jam on the A201 to Brussels Airport was caused by extra police control / police checks. These have ended now, and around 10h45 the waiting time was recuced to some 10 minutes: confirmed by one of our own journalists.

Good news for the poeple who already missed their holiday flights!!

This is insane like Brussels Airport did not lose enough credibility....

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
I don't understand how BAC keeps accepting this. What I fail even more to understand is how a few unionists kan keep taking passengers hostage while there is no apparent support from agents on the field for possible actions...
Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
I arrived at around 10.30AM with the train, in the terminal in less than 5 minutes and very convenient. Is the construction of the separate access road for staff already underway?
Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
If going by car, drop off in Brucargo and take one of the many busses.
It's free and much faster.
I think that it's the people's own fault for not doing enough research.
It takes as long to get from the vehicle checkpoint into the parkings at BRU as the bus takes from Brucargo to the airport.
With regards to the reopening, IST was operational the day after its attacks with more dead and injured.
BRU should be ashamed.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Predictable post. But nevertheless an ashamed post, given the number of victims and given the efforts made by Brussels Airport staff once Belgian justice cleared the venue.Flanker2 wrote:With regards to the reopening, IST was operational the day after its attacks with more dead and injured. The terrorist from IST "only" used bomb belts, whilst the terrorists from BRU used real bombs. Therefore, the material damage at IST was far less then the material damage at BRU.
The terrorists from IST were unable to enter the departure hall, so they only damaged some of the pre check windows and a parking. The terrorists from BRU destroyed most of the departure hall.
The terrorists from IST made a lot of victims by shooting them down (thus not damaging infrastructure). The terrorists from BRU didn't shoot. What's the number of victims, killed and injured by bomb belts at IST? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it's less then the number of victims killed and injured at BRU.
The Belgian justice sealed off BRU to do a thorough lead and DNA investigation on every body part they found. The Türkish justice apparently didn't needed such investigation and thus allowed IST to reopen a few hours later.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
What's less respectful in his post? He is only rightfully questioning how many people died of explosives in comparison to BRU and how many from gunshots, relative to the difference in
(a) power of the explosives
(b) place of explosives
A self proclaimed expert-in-everything as flanker should have known better than to make a stupid comparison between two attacks with a totally different modus operandi...

I don't like to compare numbers of casualties. But flanker started that nasty comparison and you joined in. So let me repeat it: what is relevant in the comparision "reopening IST versus reopening BRU" is not the total number of victims. What is relevant, is:
1. the damage caused by bombs to airport infrastructure;
2. the lockout time for the criminal onsite investigation;
3. the time for necessary safety repairs to infrastructure;
4. the lockout by police trade unions before reopening was allowed.
I'm really disgusted by flanker's statement that IST was more damaged then BRU because IST had more fatalities. Apparently you support flanker here - it's your right to do so.
I therefore qualify your remark "Have some respect please" at the same level as flanker's comparison. Using the numbers of fatalities 41-32 as kind of a basketball half time score is disgusted and shameless.
Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
To add to that... You cannot just reopen a building without all human remains collected. Needless to say that a body with gunshot wounds is easier to collect than a body being torn apart from explosives...Passenger wrote:IST victims is not 41: it's 45.sean1982 wrote:IST victims: 41Passenger wrote: The terrorists from IST made a lot of victims by shooting them down (thus not damaging infrastructure). Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
you're short term memory is lacking as YOU were the one who drew up the comparison in the first place. Every person killed is one to many no matter whether it is in BRU or in IST or in any other place in the world for that matter. The conclusions you draw in regards to my statement are wrong, false and completly unacceptable as are half of your posts.Passenger wrote:IST victims is not 41: it's 45.sean1982 wrote:IST victims: 41Passenger wrote: The terrorists from IST made a lot of victims by shooting them down (thus not damaging infrastructure). I did not. It was Flanker who started the comparison between IST and BRU with this post:sean1982 wrote:you're short term memory is lacking as YOU were the one who drew up the comparison in the first place.
