BRU 18/06/2005 Log & Request

Post by Maaske »

Hey everyone ,
This evening I was sitting at 02 watching landings. When at a certain moment a virgin (around 22.30) did a missed approach.(quite high too)

Anyone know some info on it ?

most probable cause was the runway not clear....
this is not unusual or dangerous.. its procedure..

was there another landing just before this one?
the runway was probably not vacated in time so the Virgin could not get a landing clearance in time

most aircraft vacate at E5 but some take their time and take E6 which takes ofcourse more time...

Anyone have a log for 18th June please? I was working at home all day and saw quite a few take-offs and would appreciate a list.

Thanks

Hi Maaske,

You probably already gave the reason for this in your first post. You said it came in rather high, so probably it was unsafe to continue the approach so the pilots decided to go around and give it another try. Nothing unusual or spectacular about this.
