And what a mistake that was... we all saw it coming but TUI choose the cheapest way = Phuket air flying death traps...

Now 500 of their longhaul pax to Asia are on our flights...

If they want to use this aircraft in October/November, still a rumour, then they have to hurry. I don't think that there will be many B767 on the second hand marked. A new B767 is not at the order.

I heard that Tui already HAS the a/c but it isn't operational yet.
A lot of my collegues have confirmed the rumours I heard about the new B767 for long haul flights. They are looking for pilots with a license for B767 at the moment as well, while they have enough for the OO-TUC already, so some of it must be true! :D

Great news when it is true :!: I suppose that the aircraft is still in a foreign country.

Let's hope they get this second 767 very soon, because a delay on Mexico/Cuba now also means delay for their flights to the Dominican Republic:

www.biac.be/arrivals:
Sat 11/06 Varadero via Cancun TUB8502
06:25 scheduled
13:30 delayed

www.biac.be/departures:
Sat 11/06 Puerto Plata via Punta Cana TUB8601
08:40 scheduled
15:00 delayed

Sunday's TUI flights to/from HRG/LXR are now also delayed because of the initial delay on Friday's VRA-CUN-BRU

dep 12/06 Hurghada via Luxor TUB7543 763
09:50 scheduled
16:10 delayed

Correct, but the first B767 of KLM phased out in September. That's a little bit to late to check the whole airplane, repaint, etc.

But there was mentioned in this topic that TUI have already the second B767. I think that this airplane must stand in a foreign country at this moment.

The B767 for Arlefly returned this week, 15.06.05, from Vietnam Airlines.
But I want to know from Sterre where he received the rumout that TUI had already the B767.

On the site of Jetair, nothing mentioned of vacant places for pilots.

Now we can talk to each other, because we need official or confirmed news  There are already, not only for this topic, spread rumours at 100km/h. And that we can missed.

Nobody said this was confirmed. If she was not so kind to let us know, we wouldn't have known. So please, as long as your sources are reliable, let those rumours come.

The first KLM 767 (PH-BZA) is already phased out and flying for Zoom Air!

I thought they were looking for pilots because their 767 was not etops, resulting in longer flights and longer duties for their crews...

Be careful with rumors...

Thanks Jense for the reply. My sentence in that post was a little bit unhappy. The time to get an B767 for Tui was a little bit short between the phase out between PH-BZA and PH-BZB.

Atlantis wrote:Maybe we can find the solution in the new winterbrochures. If there are some new far destinations we get the answer. But it's still a rumour, for so far no futher news of new destinations or airplanes on the site of Jetair.

Indeed Atlantis...
Another possibility could be for their winter flights to Mombasa that used to be flown by SNba...
But even combined with Thai flights, that would not justify an extra plane.

Then there's that rumor (LOL) that Jetair would like some flights to FLORIDA next winter. And it's unlikely that American's service from MIA to BRU will start this year...
Oh yes and adding to the rumor, TUI would currently make sure that all their crews have Crew Visa for the US! Maybe Sterre could confirm or deny that as AFAIK it's only a rumor.
And as I said earlier, let's be careful with rumors...
