If you had an airline, how would you name it?

Hello,

I saw this topic at another site to be honest

But I tought it was a nice topic to talk about, so everyone can dream for a moment and be a "Richard Branson"

...

Maybe you can also "choose" your fleet (and any particular destinations)

Now it's up to me to start off...let me think

Airline: Socius Wings

Fleet: A 330/340

Hub: Brussels

Destinations: Dubai, Doha, Kuala Lumpur and Bejjing

My airline would be called "Aqua Air Lines". We would be based in Orlando and have a focus cities in Milwaukee, West Palm Beach, and Santa Ana/Orange County.

Our fleet would be:
Bombardier CRJ (Operated by Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation d/b/a Aqua Connection)
Embraer 190
Airbus A320 (With CFM-56 engines)
Boeing 757-200 (With RB-211 engines)
Boeing 787-3 (With GEnx engines)
Boeing 787-8 (With GEnx engines)
Boeing 747 Advanced (With GEnx engines)

Fly from Brussels South Charleroi and London Stansted with the Airbus 330-200 as an international low cost (normal quality) all economy carrier, to popular tourist places like Thailand (Phuket), Dutch Antilles (Sint-Maarten SXM), ...

Well I named my airline after my self. And because I am a cargo carrier I encorporated that into my name:
MURRAY AIR CARGO
I did get carried away with my fleet but I have a majority of B727's and MD-11's. As you can tell I am a fan of 3-holers.
I have 2 hubs:
Charlotte, North Carolina USA (CLT)
Pheonix, Arizona USA (PHX)
and a plethora of out stations.

This is my pride and joy. The heart of MURRAY AIR CARGO: N727MU. I was quite suprised that MD-11 chose this A/C to draw for me. I guess it would be his favorite as well.

My airline would be called Silver Star Airlines, and would be based around the theme of noble metals. A three class service:
- Silver Star class = Economy class;
- Gold Star class = Business class;
- Platinum Star class = First class;
I would style my airline after Virgin Atlantic, and incorporate their business structure. Our main target would be business travellers flying long-haul. But we also would have an economy style product. Our product needs to stand out over the rest by means of excellent service, incorporating new technologies and do that with reasonable prices (like Virgin Atlantic).
We would fly on every route that fits into our business plan. Routes could be LHR-SYD, SYD-NYC, BRU-NYC, FRA-SYD, SIN-LHR and so on.

The equipment that we would use:
- B787-800;
- B787-900;
- B772/ER;
- B772/LR;
- B773/ER;
- B747-Adv;

We also could have a cargo division operating around the world with:
- B744F's (until the B747F-Adv arrives);
- MD-11F's (until the B772LRF would arrive at reasonable prices);

This comes up with me at the moment, I would need to detail and examine my plans more to make these business-plan viable.

I would like to see a real world version of the airline I founded in Airline 5. It is called SkyWings, has several successful hubs, flies all over - North and South America, Africa, Middle East, Asia, Europe, UK, Australia. There is a low cost section with 737, A320 and Dash 8 aircraft which fly on circular routes around European cities. Long haul is operated by larger Airbus aircraft and a fleet of CRJs flies on commuter routes in a business configuration.

My airline would be named Skyjet Airlines. Currently, the fleet is constituted with... turbo props only!

The airline and the planes would be on the irish register. Main base would be LCY. The network would comprise flights mainly between Eire and UK and UK domestic flights + some flights between UK and continent.

SKYJET: 11 (15 NOV 2004)

- 3 Saab 2000 (50 seats)
- 8 Saab 340B+ (33 seats)

Two more S2000s will join the fleet this year. Also we are looking to expand on the 70 seaters market, that's why we are looking for a new built fuel efficient jet. (Any suggestions

?)

When I'm making my own airline I always call it
'SYSWINGS'...
At this time I'm flying an A310 to Boston and Montreal (investigating Indian and Chinese destinations like Madras, Delhi and Shanghai).
Wishful thinking of course!

Atlantic Airways, I love airline names with the name of an ocean or something like that in the name (like CX etc).
fleet will be lot's of things, would be airbus in general.
Destinations are all over the world, but the base would be AMS.

How about british world airlines (bwa) as a restructured bmi showing their new world wide route structure? Concordes + Airbuses like now with A340-5/600 and A350s and A380s on order. Regional by Bombardier C-Jets and CRJs. the concordes would be refurbished with Airbus FBW and new more fuel eficient engines and upgraded to B-speck.

A bit embarassing, but I actualy have an airline all planned out. It's called FCA Flying Cow Airways!

It is from a big joke I had with a friend. It is based out of MDW and operates a fleet of

747-400's
MD-11's
A340-600's
777-200's
IL-96's

I have also planned some susidaries for it, but I wont go into that! It'd bore you all to teers! I so far have over 300 flights planned for it (including subsidaries) that will unfortunantly never fly.

SN Global Airlines

SN (first 2letters of my last name), it would be a charter airline flying noisy jets over nimby´s homes.

No just kidding, it would be a long haul cargo/business airline. Using B747s and A380s. Top level for the business class seats, lower deck(s) for the cargo.

Hub ... place XYZ where I can earn money, I don´t care if it is in Europe, America, or Asia as long as it has potential to make some serious bucks.

Than in the end I would buy SN Brussels Airlines and would rename Virgin Express to SN SuN Express.
