Server-crash causes corrupt database-file, forums INOP

Post by luchtzak »

Hi all,

after a servercrash that happened this afternoon one of the sql-databases got corrupt so that we where not able to visit the forums.

It works again now, thanks again for your patience and thanks to admin Dave for sending me an sms with the error as I am in Madrid right now. Was able to fix it from here ;-)

thanks,

Bart

Hello Bart,

I just wanted to start browsing trough the forums when I noticed that things didn't run as they should. But thank you very much for the effort that you spend to keep this site in the air (even now, when you are in Madrid), and so that we can enjoy this great site.

Enjoy your stay in Madrid!

Well I am back in Belgium now and took some measures to prevent database crashing like what happened this afternoon.

Costed me 6€ for 30 minutes internet in the hotel this afternoon, bloody expensive but necessary to keep the website alive and kicking ;-)

I have 0.166 Seconds - 202 pages served in past 5 minutes +- 1 hour later. Must be a temporary glitch, most likely the server is updating the daily statistics or something similar.
