My Version of a Dash 8

Post by VC10 »

Just thought some of you might like to see my painting of a BA Dash 8, which is based on a photo taken by Louise last year at MAN. It is slightly different to the actual plane, as it has the rose logo (the one photographed had the tartan tail - which I decided against trying as it would have been a bit tricky on a small painting.)

Hope you like the pic. - planes are not my usual subjects, but I think I could get to like doing them!!

Even though planes aren't your speciality, I personally think it looks very good. Please keep posting them on luchtzak!

Nice work, Trisha.
I tried to paint once but it turned out not to be any good :?

Hey do you remember the old guy who was on T.V. back in the 80's, that would paint with everything but a brush?

Thanks everybody for all your nice comments!!

My next "project" is, hopefully, a SNBA ARJ, but my tries at drawing one of these so far resemble maggots!!

And Bart, I find it hard to believe that you can't paint. Tell me that you're kidding...please!!

It's the 4th time I've been in this topic, just to see the painting :D
I've even used it as a wallpaper! There's just something about it that's intriguing ... just brilliant...

As I said earlier, your artist eyes see more than ours: ImageImage these wings look like seagull's*.
Is that why many Coast Guards fly them, these Dash 8's?

Keep sending them, Trisha, the paintings that is!
And I don't mean guitars..... my neighbour is playing one. He thinks he is.

Emirates, what exactly is your point here?

Are you:

1)Stating that my painting is no good? OK, if you don't like it, I don't give a ****, that is your right as an individual.

Or:

2) That I'm a liar by stating that it's a picture based on a photo taken by Louise. If so, then under no circumstances are you to imply such a thing. Never, but never call me a liar!!!!!

To everyone else, thanks for your comments! And Fons, I love the seagulls!!

Terribly sorry to have offended you so greatly, I was merely giving people something to compare your painting to. MD-11 has given me a going over too in regard to me linking comparison pictures.
So I feel it is best if I no longer provide any feedback into anyones "Air Art / Sketches"
I find it a little interesting on exactly where you have this liar thing going on, but again if I have caused offence sorry!

MD-11 Sorry!
VC-10 Sorry!
