Just a small point. Not everyone who contributed on this thread (or indeed these forums) comes under the gender description of "his".

Thank you.

Louise (who is a she!!! and would appreciate "hers" being added to posts instead of just "his")!!!

I felt in love with aviation at the age of 12-13.

For many years I dreamed every second of my life of a career as a BAF Fighter pilot. Aviation was my life !!! I read ans saw everything about aviation, visited many airshows a year, ... I started flying as a Belgian Air Cadet in 1988.

At the age of 18, the moment of truth was there. I passed with succes the BAF examinations (even the medical ones) and was ready to start training, but at the end decided not to do it.

Up to now I don't know why exactly ... I just felt that it wouldn't be the right decision.

So I started law school at the KU Leuven, and managed to become an attorney-at-law. Now I have my own law office.

But aviation is a disease that never let you go. I'm still a real aviation enthusiast. I read ± 5 aviation magazines monthly, surf the net daily searching for aviation websites and visit airshows and airfields whenever possible.

In fact when I need to be in Leuven or Brussels for professional reasons, I even make some extra kilometers to spend some minutes at the threshold of 25L.

I am an aviation enthousiast and it is also my passion.
Aviation is something just undescribable.

By the way,
'Airbus_fan', do you know the answer to the 'Avatar' problem? You recently changed yours.

Too kind of you. Did you ever patrol outside the airport at the 25L threshold?

Louise,

Reading your reply about "his" and "hers" I only can say one thing : Sorry, Sorry, Sorry,

Next time I'll think twice before talking about "his" or "hers".

However, according to my dictionary a "spotter" is masculine, and aren't we all a little bit "spotters" ???.
Also a lot of our user names aren't that clear neither about if it's a "he" or a "she" :D :D :D

But I promise, from now on, if talking about Louise, I always will talk about "she" and "hers" :D :D :D

I'm working as security guard and I have no connections in the aviation world, just the husband of my sister-in-law who works with the "finger" on the Lanzarote (Canary Islands) airport.

I just love to see and here airplanes.

Greetings,
Leo

I was always interested as a child. My uncle flew 732's for Piedmont in the early 80's. I started as a fueler and am now a Ramp Supervisor for Piedmont. Ironic? I enjoy ramp work 10 times better than fueling.

Born into an airpline and civil aviation family, had to be airborne myself.

Closely connected with policies, procedures and yes the ATF sector.

My relation with aviation, is my obsession for planes. I love to travel, the nicest part of traveling is the way to go to your destination

Later I would like to have a job in the aviation or a job with much travelpossibilities, like international representative. Anyway, I want to travel a lot ;)
