OO-VAC is having technical problems
The OO-VAC ( SLR's new 737-800 ) is grounded at PFO ( Paphos , Greece ) with technical problems . Crew and passengers are sent to a hotel , cause they are waiting for a replacement piece sent from Bru .
No idea what the problem is ... any info is welcome .
The plane is now scheduled to arrive at 07.10 LT tomorrow ( 25 sept )
regards
Pieter

This is very bad !!! If you buy an aircraft, you do thrust the airplane maker to give you a good aircraft ! It is a shame that an aircraft wich is in service for only a few days allready has technical problems !

call it ,, child-problems ,, . . . . . .
I remember with Constellation Int'l Airlines (do you remember this airline?) that after 1 day of operation with a brand new A320 aircraft (CIN was the first airline in the BeNeLux to operate the A320 and even some SN-pilots (under them also the VP-Flight Operations) have been line-trained by CIN), an engine change was already required. Lucky it happened at BRU.
Afterwards the aircraft operated without any further problems.
Needless to say that I am also interested to know the reason why the OO-VAC is grounded AOG.

Wouldn't Paphos rather be on Cyprus?redcap wrote:The OO-VAC ( SLR's new 737-800 ) is grounded at PFO ( Paphos , Greece ) with technical problems.
But the problem could be totally independent from the plane itself: an encounter with birds, for example.
Has the plane finally come back to BRU? I didn't see anything on the BIAC website this morning.

Yes, it is parked before hangar 40/41, with its engines open.sn26567 wrote: Has the plane finally come back to BRU? I didn't see anything on the BIAC website this morning.

Will it be able to fly SLR8425 at 13:00 to Sharm El Sheik via Luxor?Q707 wrote:Yes, it is parked before hangar 40/41, with its engines open.
