I think it was a charter not a scheduled flight.

Yeah you are right : came from HER

29/05 09:40 Heraklion T4 4301 11:04

I guess they only did ATH as scheduled flights, not HER.

So they still are operational.

A couple of days ago, there was also an Hellas flight to Frankfurt. They normaly don't fly to this destination. But could it be that there is an airline who used this aircraft :?:

Isn't there a new Belgian charter airline called Air Miles who leased two Hellas Jet A320s?

Air Miles isn't a new company as far as I know. I saw them a couple of years ago operating a flight in to Brussels for Islandsflug.

Guys and Girls

Air Miles is a GREEK travel agency based in Glyfada, Athens that charters aircraft to fly to HER. For a couple of years they used Islandsflug painted with Air Miles titles (If I remeber correctly). So its not a new company and it's certainly not Belgian,

I found this article.

http://tourmag.com/index.php?action=art ... cle=149918

Resume
The belgian TO is Christoffair Travel and in active in belgium and north of france.

They made a contract with air miles for two aircrafts of superior charter. (Good legroom, leather seat,...) and Air miles bought the aircrafs form Hellas. It was a short time before the start of the summer season so it's possible that the Hellas name is yet on the aircrafts

Rao..., this is the official announcement by HellasJet (on 21th April 2005):

On the 20th of April 2005, the Hellas Jet Shareholders General Assembly decided to suspend all Hellas Jet scheduled flights on the 10th of May 2005. This decision was deemed necessary as the conditions of the market proved to be against the company's plans.

All passengers that are holding ticketed reservations on Hellas Jet flights between 10 May 2005 and 31 May 2005 will be re-accommodated on other IATA airlines with as little inconvenience to the original as possible. For ticketed itineries from 01 June 2005 full refunds will be offered at the place of original issue / where payment has been made.

For flight information / reservation enquiries please contact your nearest local Hellas Jet at the following telephone numbers:

Athens :
801 11 53000 (for local access)
+30 210 62 44 244 (for NAtional and mobile phone users)

Brussels :
+32 2 716 00 66

London / Manchester :
+44 870 751 7222

Paris :
+33 1 45007660

With this opportunity we would like to thank all our colleagues in the travel trade that believed in us throughout the duration of our scheduled flight service. (end of statement HellasJet)

Now Rao..., contact Opodo tomorrow, and confront them with this news.

If they don't agree to refund you, contact one of the HellasJet telephone numbers in Paris or Brussels (don't know if they're still operating).

Otherwise, contact IATA (International Air Transport Organisation) and explain them what's happening. You will find their details on their offices worldwide on www.iata.org (offline at this very moment, but the link is 100% right). Although: tell Opodo you will contact IATA if they don't refund you (Opodo has a IATA licence, and they don't want to loose that).

Once you have your 1.600 euro's, tell all your friends luchtzak.be arranged it for you!

I assume that the capacity of Hellas Jet will be also used during the summer months when it is difficult to obtain additonal planes, not?
