SpiceJet advances Fleet Reliability and Safety Monitoring
SpiceJet will utilize state of the art technology to ensure its fleet reliability and safety monitoring are second to none. While the new carrier will follow the low cost model providing low fares to the growing Indian domestic air market it will be making a very significant investment in systems and technology to ensure that it can deliver a dependable operation and deliver quality customer service. “In our business planning there is no compromise to technical excellence” states Roger Page SpiceJet’s EVP Engineering. “He goes on to explain that it is the productive utilization of aircraft coupled with the reduction in frills and elimination of unproductive processes that allows the carrier to offer very low air fares. “There will be absolutely no compromise to reliability nor safety.”
In fact, airlines like SpiceJet, much like the Western Carriers they are modeled on, employ some of the latest and best technologies in the aviation Industry to help them achieve their higher fleet productivity levels. These technologies don’t just help cut costs through better management of logistics, they also contribute to improved aircraft reliability and enhanced safety monitoring.
SpiceJet brings with it all these state-of-the-art systems to support its operations in India. Roger Page explains ‘this is the ultimate when it comes to aviation technology. In fact some of this technology like Star Navigation is a first for the world.’
Mr. Page went on to elaborate that it is not just Star Navigation, but the way it will work in association with Russel Adams software systems, Tech-Log logistical management systems and maintenance support from KLM that will make SpiceJet not just efficient but safe, as well.
These technologies allow for the most efficient and up-to-date maintenance practice to be employed to provide for precise in-flight monitoring, enabling a predictive maintenance philosophy.
With the installation of the In-flight Safety Monitoring System, Star Navigation will introduce other modern features for seamless communication and information transfer. Star Navigation has also agreed to launch the world's first WiFi system on-board a SpiceJet aircraft, allowing the aircraft to communicate with the airline's corporate LAN, and enable high speed data downloads and uploads while in the air. Star Navigation will be the first company in the aviation industry to have such a system certified for use on a commercial aircraft.
So now travellers in India can look forward to low-cost but hi-tech flying. Very safe, very efficient and very affordable!!

Isn't Spicejet promoted by Royal Holdings Services Limited, a Nevada-based company, which has a major stake along with institutions like Citibank, ABN Amro, Goldman Sachs and others holding over 20 per cent.
Did you know Royal Holdings is owned by the NRI Kansagra family, holding 40% in the airline & Royal India is a travel service provider in Cochin, who was closely associated with Modiluft. the first time I heard about revival of Modiluft was quoting a press release by its MD. Then after a long time, it came back as SpiceJet. Even then he was announcing features etc, but in the name of being the GSA.

PlaneMad wrote:Advisor, from where do you get the airline icao codes? i have tried all websites, but none are updated regulary.
This time i am looking for spicejets code. will they be using the modiluft code MOD?
BTW the first photos have just come out, check planepictures and anet.
Could not find pictures, my friend
As per my knowledge Royal Airlines had the ICAO RPK So If Modiluft had MOD then i think SpiceJet shall also have one
Also note that www.spicejet.com and www.royal-airways.com both take you to Spicejet
