Do they still have plans to change the name and make it an LCC?

Back on topic, seems like it could be a profitable venture for Indian Airlines ina growing market. Would the planes be part of the mainline operation, the Alliance Air operation or part of a new airline owned by Indian Airlines?

It will be extremely profitable, these old lumbering 732 are great for freight operations.
And Nagpur lies dang in the centre of India, great choice.

Blue Dart is the only other operator with dedicated freighters, and they are apparently doing roaring business.

I think you mean BANG in the center of INDIA.

I feel there is more demand than BD can handle.
The market is by no means even closely saturated. Freight is Indian Railways biggest money maker inspite of the millions of passenger it carries.
