Indeed Ryan very cool colours (Im squalo btw, New account)

I wonder with this merger will they focus on becoming an all airbus or all boeing fleet or if it just wont matter either way.

The US & the EU would NEVER allow this, would cancel out all the competition, plane-prices would go trough the roof (and so will the ticketprices), and an aircraft like the 787 would not have been build! (why spend money on it when there's no competitor for the BoeingBus767?)

Well Hello Bastiano aka Squalo: Welcome back to luchtzak.
I know that America West wants the US 757's so I believe they will stay a mixed aircraft company.

I think Boebus or Airing sounds better. How about Airboe? They just don't have the same ring. Yea we saw a Daimler-Chrysler merger but you still have Ford and GM as competitors. The Aircraft market isn't that large.

i agree on that reapint very nice!
but would they really survive?
ok maybe they will with the HP CEO in control but i don't think its likely they will survive unless maybe america west express and us airways express operators merge then they may be able to survive longer with all the profit coming in from all sectors... what if us airways were to make huge pofits thanks to the merger? well lets wait and see...

Air Canada may join. When Air Canada's CEO was asked about Air Canada's merger with the new entity, he did not confirm or deny.

Well that draws a political concern. America west Express is operated by Mesa Air Group and US Airways Express has: yes Mesa Air Group, as well
Piedmont Airlines (US Airways owned)
PSA Airlines(US Airways owned)
Chautaqua
Air Mid-West (Owned by Mesa Air Group
Air Mid Atlantic (US Airways owned, soon to merge with PSA)
Colgan
TranState
The ground thats operates USE is non-union yet the AWE ground is.
The Two Mesa operations will join and the US owned Airlines should join. The other Airlines will have to become owned by the new US Airways for the Express Airlines to merge or... Get out. I DONT want to work for Mesa and I DONT want to be union!

I have heard that US is going to drop Mesa entirely and all of those routes will be operated by Air Wisconsin.

I hope this is true! It would be very good for my old hometown (Appleton, WI).
Onward and Upward...

Doubt that America West needs Mesa.
