Airport Security Good or Bad?
If I was incharge of Airport Security the first move I would make would be to get rid of Airport Security (TSA who does the screening at the front door). Yes this would alow PAX to carry-on anything they wish. I don't believe that a terrorist would try to high-jack an A/C if they thought the PAX next to them had a gun.
Now I would still have Checked bag searches to eliminate bombs or anything else that would hinder air security.
I believe that the flight crew should be the first and last people on and off their A/C. The flight door would remain locked from the time before boarding till all Pax were off the A/C and could not be opened other wise.
The F/A should have no contact with the Flight-Crew exept with a button to push for an Emergency.
This, I believe, would help to keep our skies safer.

Yea at CLT their are signs posted every 10 feet on any roads with visibility of the airport stating that its illegal to be parked there and violators are subject to prosecution.heathrow wrote:yes. I was aprehended as a runaway by airport security. "I'm a spotter" doesn't do it for them. Sometimes they can piss me off
Better yet: Instead of doing drugs and being in street gang or raiding and looting, they would rather prosecute you for doing something productive and educational. It's a sorry world we live in.heathrow wrote:yes. I was aprehended as a runaway by airport security. "I'm a spotter" doesn't do it for them. Sometimes they can piss me off
That sounds great! I'll never forget my first time in a cockpit. a QN L-1011, and then a QN 752!! Those were the days....ryanvsnow wrote:I share in your sympathy. I can remember as a child when my uncle, a mainline Piedmont Airlines Captain on a B732, would come into CLT we would meet him at the airport. He would let us sit in the cockpit. It was a blast.livin737 wrote:I wish it was like the old days
