Don't think bits44 is a Boeing worker (memory of earlier exchanges) but he is certainly one of their leading promoters here on Luchtzak. Perhaps he works in PR and gets paid for the number of times he can get good press for Boeing!?!? It certainly appears that he emphasises Airbus frailties and Boeing's plus points and is quiet when Boeing have one of their implode moments

Sorry kids I don't work for Boeing, I have been in the Airline Industry for 25 years, and I relate what I hear about Boeing from very close friends who do work for Boeing, thus the inferred bias, I'm sure there are many in this forum who appear to be biased toward Airbus, but I'm sure its because of some of the same reasons.
My personal opinion is Airbus tends to bend the truth and in certain cases they by ommission neglect to tell all the facts, they are about to enter a trade war thats going to affect every member of the E.U. and every citizen of the U.S. an easily avoidable conflict, but one that Airbus seems to want to ignore.
I have owned shares in both Airbus and Boeing for many years, but I must admit that I no longer have any holdings in Airbus, and thats only because of the lack of leadership and the constant fighting thats going on there now.
I've said this before and here it is again, the Airline industry needs both manufacturers to survive and prosper, the continued prosperity of the aviation industry depends on it it, I can not imagine if there was only Airbus planes or Boeings, how boring would that be.

Well said, bits44 ! Whilst I am personally an Airbus fan (and employee of
a subsidary), I would really hate to see only Boeing or Airbus on the
market. Nevertheless, Airbus sometimes obvisously don't say the truth,
but I think Boeing are only better to hide it, when they do not say the truth.
But as said above, competition is good and beating between these two is
normal nowadays.

I am looking to A.net everyday (since roughly 2 years) and I really hateAndries wrote:
Big difference with A.net, isn't it ...![]()
Greetz,
Andries
to see the A vs B wars there. People there (in A.net) seem sometimes to
forget that there are aviation enthusiasts as here on Luchtzak.be ! I really
love Airbus
not been able to design and manufacture such good aircraft.
I will still look to A.net in the future, but posting I do only here !
