How do you know that? I was an A/C fueler for 2 years and I've never had my skin peal. AVGAS100LL is worse than AVJETA1. I would have to go with the hydraulic fluid on this one. I've seen some nasty stuff from that. I about drank JET and I lived.

No offense, Either you are thick skinned  or the fuel is of a bad quality that it did not give u any burning sensation. And yes AVGAS is worse than Jet A1.

U drank JET and lived, is a rebirth O MOST HONOURABLE AND NOBLE ONE.

I'm sure there are airlines where the most dangerous liquid is actually the coffee they serve in-flight. :-P

Wow! I didn't know that. I get Avgas on my hands almost everytime I take a flight lesson. When it is windy and I am sumping the fuel tanks, some of the fuel blows out, and it ends up on my hands.

Yea I was sumping the tanks on one of our fuel trucks and spilled it out on my foot. It swelled up for a day and burned something awful.

As a GA pilot, I've gotten AVGAS on my skin bunches of times and it's no problem, just wash your hands after the flight is over. Skydrol is definately very dangerous. Never touch it, I've heard horror stories about a mechanic who accidentally touched and later went to the bathroom....well you can imagine what happened to his equipment. Pretty much anything that leaks out of an airplane couldn't be good for most people (including the coffee).

Would it not be a better idea to go & find a washroom first before the flight, before you touch the flight controls & things?
