How sometimes a problem can become a great solution after all:
Yesterday, 15 may, CS-TMP Air Luxor Lockheed tristar, was flying flight TUB7544 from HRG arrived at 2219 in BRU. After performing this flight the flight was supposed to fly back as ferry flight to Lisbon. This flight had to leave before 2300 to avoid CURFEW (banning of tristar take-off's after 2300 at BRU). The flight was fully ready for push back at 23.01 hoping to depart to Lisbon. But this one minute seemed to be to much and the flight was grounded till the next day, to leave to Lisbon not before 14.00 due to crew rest.
As OO-TUC, foreseen for flight TUB8103 to PUJ-MBJ today, had technical problems it was cancelled. It seemed now that the ban of the Lockheed tristar the night before would become a great solution for the problem of OO-TUC. Luckily the Tristar was still at BRU and could perform the flight instead of OO-TUC and a cancellation of TUB8103 was avoided.
This time TUI was lucky they didn't have to cancel another flight flown by OO-TUC. At the end the flight only got a delay of 7 hours. The flight left at 14:05, just after the crew rest time.
lucky delay of Air Luxor on sunday for TUB on monday

OO-TUC had a birdstrike when taking off from POP to BRU last saturday, that's why it's out of service for the moment.
The previous delay was caused by thunderstorms in POP last wednesday, the captain made 2 attempts to land the plane, but decided to return to PUJ.
So due to limited duty times for the flightdeck crew, the plane only left Pop thursday morning local time.
For once OO-TUC is not the one to blame for those delays !!
