This sunday, monday and tuesday, the 15, 16 and 17 of may there is a posssible strike announced by the french controllers wich could affect the operations of many companys.
This is already an anouncement that i found on the vueling website about these strikes:
Warning of strike
On the 15th, 16th and 17th of May a possible strike of controllers of the French air space is foreseen. This strike will affect directly most of our international flights.
At Vueling we will make our best to avoid repercussion of the strike on our operations and on your journeys, but it is possible that cancellations or delays not wanted by the company may happen.
We thank you beforehand for your understanding.
Let's hope they don't strike, it would mean so much trouble for many people and for many airlines who don't need this right now.

I only can say one thing: Reagenomics!
Just fire all of those morons who are blackmailing the goverment and if that was not bad enough, with their criminal actions they are affecting a lot of people and airlines who do not have any part in this issue.
So fire them, and bring in the military traffic controlers.

Des contrôleurs aériens réquisitionnés en vue des grèves de la Pentecôte (french)
16th of May was a day off (Pentecôte), as in many other european countries, but the french gov. has cancelled it. It means every french worker will have to work one day more (for free, of course).
@B744skipper: Don't be afraid little student, one day, it will be your turn
!
Regards
Seb.

Goodafternoon,
@B744skipper : So fire them, and bring in the military traffic controlers.
=> You sound lke the South American junta : if they don't fit in your plan, get rid of them.
If you are still a student (like Horse Power mentions), I would ask first to understand why strike threats can occur and than you might come to a conclusion but don't forget that nobody knows what's going on behind the scenes and that you might jump too fast to conclusions.
I do hope as a student you will be able to pick up a good educated and well paid job because with your prejudices, you can better stay away from the group of hard-working people who are pleased that this means 1 day less squeezed out by management.
Never forget that a manager :
1. Need hard-working people to have a job himself
2. Even a manager has those days off for which the workers fought.
Regards, Karl
