LO to be the next 787 customer

Post by HorsePower »

LOT will officially disclose on May 13th that they have choosen the B787 over A330 or A350. Remember that recently, Poland AF choose the F-16 Falcon over other European competitors. Did you say no political pressure?

Regards

Seb.

Poland AF chose the F-16 because it is a proven NATo fighter

be aware that any political remark is forbidden in this forum. When I just made the remark that Etihad doesn't fly to Tel Aviv despite it flies to Amman and Lebanon, this remark was regarded so sensitive it was removed.

I was thinking this same thing, I have also read on airliners.net message board the article that this was taken from is flawed and it was between the A350 & 787 not the A330. That being said I have about as much an idea of whats going to happen as the next person but if LH are going to purchase LOT I dont think 787/350 battle is yet won.

Ciao Ciao

Nice! LOT has been a Boeing customer even before the 1989 fall of the communist regime, since 1988. It certainly got excellent conditions from Boeing.

Besides the B767s and the B737s, LOT also has Embraers 170 (the first European airline to get them) and ATRs 42 and 72.

If Lufthansa did take over LOT, would LOT still exist (operating as Lufthansa) or would it just become Lufthansa???

@Knight255, I guess Lufthansa will do the same as with Swiss, keeping the other brand alive (which would make Swiss, LOT and Lufthansa operate next to each other).
