I did not see this topic before, so I could also give some explanation to my nick.

Well, first of all the Boeing 747 (-400) is my all-time favorite aircraft, so that explains the first part of my name, the love for such a beautifull and gracious aircraft.
The second part I picked up on A.net, and I thought that skipper sounded very cool (and freak or lover way too geekish  ), so I decided to combine the both of it to B744skipper. So on most of my online things I decided to use this name, suits me fine.

5Y - keeps with my Kenyan identity
KQ - my favorite airline
V - my wifes initial for her first name (Vivianne) and 5Y-KQV also is a beautiful 763ER flown by KQ.

Sadly enough, KQ will be returning 5Y-KQV to the lessors soon as it takes deliveries of the 772ERs. It will be sad for my nickname but guess i will keep it alive here at luchtzak.

Cheers,

Walter.

I love Beaucerons, they are superb dogs.

I thought that maybe you chose your name because you were a fan of the Three Musketeers?

Maybe Comet,

I am a reincarnation or a mountain :-)

No, just love planes and all that comes with it.

Helping building the biggest wastewater treatment plant in Vilvoorde, I enjoy all the planes flying over.

Goodmorning,
ILS.25L = the main landing runway at my home airport EBBR.

Vliegtuigfreak, in English your nickname can be translated as "anorak" which, in the end, we all are.

"Anorak" comes from the UK (correct me if I am wrong) and it was given to spotters who were out spotting in well known English weather (= rain) and wear an anorak to protect them against the rain.

I come from a mystical land, moreso a land of miracles. Land where millions of children die for a single drop of milk and where millions of idols are fed litres of milk in just 1 day.

And in such a land, guiding people with principles and yes towards the growth of a nation makes it practically impossible for a single humanbeing with a name. And The highest reward for a man’s toil is not what he gets for it, but what he becomes by it. – John Ruskin.

So studied and got a degree to help, and advise. So ADVISOR, it had to be

You are right Karl, though more often "anorak" is used to describe train spotters. It is easier to spot aircraft from indoors in bad weather (especially at MAN) than it is to spot trains from indoors.

I chose sofija since it corresponds to my first name in lithuanian (i'm learning this beautiful yet not really useful :) language) and 57 is the number of the french department where I live.

*Ryan is my firstname
*V is the first letter in Vince short for Vincent. Vincent was the name I chose to be called in French class in High School. I kept Vince as an alias that I use when I go out.
*snoW come from a party hat that I have. Its a winter hat that reads "I Love Snow". People who didn't know my name used to refer to me as Snow
So now you know

In addition my Avatar comes from a 777 that I did for my "made-up" airline. You can see pics of more A/C at

My name, avatar and signature is just one big joke.

I guess you all know what a "TCAS climb" is. I don't really know why I chose it (never had any), but there's a funny alchemy with the avatar which is clearly not a TCAS climb. Or if it was indeed an attempted TCAS climb, it failed miserably.

I hope it conveys the message that I'm not taking myself very seriously, and the signature underlines the fact that we're all human, we all make mistakes and we always have something to learn. I'm here to share my experience, preferably with a good dose of humor, advise the best I can, promote flight safety if I can, but most importantly to learn from other people.

(BTW the avatar is an animated GIF. It's supposed to spin but it doesn't work. Dunno why...)
