US delivering F-16's to Pakistan, which Pakistan has already paid for.
It worries India.
Read: The Indian Air Force is equipped with large numbers of fighter jets that are more capable than the F-16, specifically the Russian SU-30 MKI.
It was said US Secretary of State Condi Rice on her visit to India and Pakistan may offer India and Pakistan F16s
Washington sold F-16s to Pakistan in the 1980s when Islamabad helped drive the Soviets from Afghanistan. Deliveries were halted in 1990 after a U.S. law barred military exports to Pakistan which was suspected of possessing a nuclear device. India and Pakistan both conducted nuclear test blasts in 1998.

@Volare, maybe because Pakistan is seen as a lesser danger then China (in the view of the US)? Maybe because Pakistan does not want to attack Taiwan, where China eyes Taiwan as a lost province and sees military intervention as a real option in the future (if in Chinese eyes things get out of hand)?
And maybe the US wants to restore the balance between India and Pakistan because India has been receiving and updating many weapon systems in the last years (the SU-30 as mentioned above, for example). Just like the balance of power between the US and Soviet Union kept the world from the cold war turning into a hot one?
