Sorry, I thought this was a joke thread when I first saw it  I agree that Airliners.net is a very good site, but seeing as most people here are members on A.net then it is a pretty safe bet that we're going to know about it already.

The problem with a.net is you have to pay to post on the forums and for some other things too

I used to be a member (back in the days when you had to become a first class member) and I left because I could not afford it anymore. Now, I can afford it but, I think Luchtzak is far superior anyways and it is free.

BTW: I used to be member NWA320 (I used to be a huge Airbus fan  ).

I've never tried to check out their forums.
I do use it for pics and info. Not so much now that I've found this place.

I registered a name on Airliners.net last night. I wanted Comet to keep the same name I use on other aviation forums, but it was taken so I have SNBAFan instead.

Great site indeed, just a pity they aren't always objective when it comes to pics of "unknown" photographers

No problemo.

When talking to"unknown" photographers you hear quite often that their pics are refused for one or other reason. When you're taking a look at their pics they tried to send in, you can't agree with the motivation given by A.net with the reason why those pics were refused. Often those pics are from an outstanding quality, and you may ask yourself why they really were refused for.
Especially when you can find a lot of "kak"pictures on A.net, but the only difference is that they're coming from a photographer who "made his name on A.net"

I'm sure if you send in the pics of some "unknown" photographers, only with the name of some "so-called" experts beneath it they will get published!

Besides this, don't misunderstand me, there are a lot of fantastic pics at A.net

I see your point Rago, and I have to agree. I too have seen some very poor shots on Airliners.net, though the majority are very good indeed.

Well I can tell you that they wouldn't accept my camera phone shots because of the small pixel content. I am so glad to have found luchtzak.

Ok thanks for elaborating Rago ;) I see your point now. On some days I agree with you, but I won't start a debate about it now ;)

A.net is good but many ppl indulge in plagarism and besides that too much unwanted information and baseless discussions.

As long as its an aviation site, its cool
