Maybe they took the wrong turn and had to go around again to get to the right place of the airport? :-)

Congratulations Airbus on this huge achievement, but let's not forget that still a lot of problems can develop... :(

Although I think that the aircraft still looks but-ugly, it is surely a magnificent view to see this bird taking off so smooth and gracefully.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, and going by the comments of the crew they put her through her paces in the short time they were in the air and i thought that the flyby before landing was a nice touch ,and Greg that's a great painting you have done of the A380, regards. :D

yes, it may, there was a long gap between the concorde's maiden flight and first commercial flight, hope it does not happen with the A380.

Congrats once again to airbus and fans.

Some people found A380 very ugly. I think that it is not so ugly but also in the air it looks even better (not so fat):

I was fortunate to witness the first inaugural flight on Euronews and Skynews as both were transmiting it live. I just have to admit that it was one bautiful sight. 8O 8O 8O A perfect take off and landing.

Ps. I would like to wish Airbus all the luck in what has become one of the greatest acheivements in modern civil Aviation. :D :D :D :D :D

It was a beautiful day.
For Glider: the Dubai Airport call was a hoax.
Now let's wait how it really looks inside for the travellers.
31" seat pitch?

I'm a bit late with my reply but had to work the entire day and couldn't see it live.

I saw the videos on TV and pictures on A.net and must say I'm amazed. This bird looks great when in the air.

Congratulations to Airbus and the entire team who made this milestone possible.

Chris

I'm just back from TLS and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!! Incredible airplane and even more incredible is that something like that can keep in the air. 8O
For me, the aircraft is nicer in real then on pictures. The next step will be the first pax-service.

Nice work Airbus

I will post some of my photo's that I took later on the site and also a tripreport can be expected.

PS: Thanks to SkyStef for keeping me up to date about the weather in TLS.

Congratulations ,Airbus!
Though I was not able to witness the first flight, I may have a chance to get on this incredible plane in person because it is said that our Southern Airlines is the first buyer and they are going to order 5 A380. :D

This maiden flight was successfully completed and I think that this will attract more customers which want to see wheather it can fly or not. And this first flight has proved that A380 can fly into the sky! :D Good job, Airbus! Hope it will recieve more orders soon!
