Anyone Booked Travel on Expedia?

Post by Comet »

Has anyone else here booked travel on Expedia (by that I mean hotels as well as flights). If so, do they send hotel vouchers by post or do you print the receipt with the itinerary number on? It doesn't say either way on their website and I wanted to see if anyone here knew before I contacted them about it.

Our flight tickets came today so I haven't been able to tear strips off our innumerate postman yet, I was waiting to see if the juvenile idiot made a mess of delivering the ticket and then I was going to drop him right in the sh*t    I am just wondering if I need to keep watch for hotel vouchers, or not.

I once ordered tickets on expedia and it turned out as a big mess. Two days after purchasing the tickets I got an phone call from them to tell me the cheap ticket I bought was not available anymore and that it was a mistake of their website. So they offered me an new ticket that was 250$ more expensive then the first one. I really couldn't believe this. I never buy tickets anymore on expedia. No way.

About hotel vouchers I have no clue how this works.

I've had no problems with Expedia, I booked my first ever online flights with them. Lastminute.com have very poor customer service though.

By hotel vouchers, I mean something you give to your hotel on check in to show details of your booking, such as what room types, length of stay, how many of you, sort of thing.

No problem with expedia
I booked hotel, flight and hired car
only a booking number to give at checking desk
or reception....very practice

Never booked a hotel with Expedia (I book directly on the website of the hotel chain), but all my e-tickets (2 per month average) come from Expedia, with no problem whatsoever.

This thing with having a reference number is the same when you book by phone or online at Bewleys MAN Airport hotel. We booked a stay there online, and I have to hope I don't lose the booking number or we could be in trouble. I much prefer having a document to hand to reception as proof of your booking, I have an awful dread of arriving at the hotel and just giving a number, and them telling you they have no record of your booking. Same with e-tickets.
