Post by Humberside »

Air Madrid (NM/Madrid) will start weekly A310-300 service from Tenerife Norte to Caracas on June 3, a weekly A330-200 service to Buenos Aires Ezeiza on August 4 as well as a weekly A330-300 flight from Las Palmas to Buenos Aires Ezeiza on October 1. In other news, it will launch a non-stop service between Madrid and Santa Cruz, Bolivia on June 19 using A330-200s

There are more gaps to fill on the South Atlantic runs, now the US carriers are loosing chunks of the transit traffic.
On the other hand, 'terrorists' will have new North-bound routes into the US.
It looks hopeless for the US-carriers, in the end they will only carry aged caucasian or hebrew speaking passengers and a sporadic Japanese woman in her early 30s.
And how do you market that?

But South American carriers are looking into a more bright future, particularly private ones and cooperations with European carriers (also private ones) seem a next promising step.

Now Air Madrid is expanding it is too bad they do this by adding also an A310 :(
Their fleet started with A330-200's and also A340's are added but why they add those A310's?????
Too bad, they should have added more A330's in my opinion.

Isnt there a worldwide shortage of wide bodies aircraft. That might explain the use of A310's

At the moment there is not a single A330, A340, B767-300 or B777 available! Thats a big problem for new start-up airlines!
