United has PTVs on its B777s (All classes)
Also You can 90 percent of the time get seated in the Economy Pluss section at check in or at the gate or if there are open seats you can just go sit down there after the gate closes (and enjoy the 35 inches pitch)
As a premier member i often get bumped to business class when travelling to Europe on United

Some months ago I flew with UA to LAX from LHR in Eco and I have to say that the flight was comfortable (PTVs and good seat pitch) and the food was nice.
If you want to try some "exotics" airlines then let's go for Air India or Kuwait (they also have PTVs in Eco in their A340s).
UA offers certainly the best price, personally I recommend you to fly with them.

If you are looking for free alcoholic beverages too...
Unfortunatley United started charging $5 from January 1st 2005 across the Atlantic. The FA was very generous with drinks the last week of December when I travelled to London though when she revealed this fact to me.
so if you want drinks I guess itll be AI or BA or Virgin maybe
but then you get what u pay for

I'm only 13, no alcohol here. No one has tryed AI? I thought VS would be my best bet, but I wanted to see what you guys had to say. See, I live in YYZ, but it is usualy better for variety if I take a flight to JFK, and then out. I can take BA direct out of YYZ. Do you guys really think it would be better than VS? I love PTV's I have to admit. BA, VS, AA (only on T7), UA (only on T7) have them, but others do not. Another option I have is going on AF on a 343 connecting in CDG. any experience here? Cheers,
Rudi

Not correct, AA have started to reconfigure the cabins on their B772's and B763's. If you are lucky however, you might end up on a MRTC-aircraft (don't know how many of them have been reconfigured up to now).Knight255 wrote:I believe AA still has their "more room throughout coach" on their 777's.

Oh come on!! A wee little booze never hurt anyone, just look at the Irish!!I'm only 13, no alcohol here.
"What's this button do?? I don't know, push it and find out................."
I agree! But not on public aircraft unfortunantly. We have crap options here, I really want someone like VS or EI (not going to happen), or even BD to do a LHR service. Hell, even better, a STN/LTN service! but alas, BD is tied to EMI and MAN, and EI is in LHR with oneworld, We have either overpriced but brilliant BA, shitacular AC, or one of the charters that I'm too young for! Direct service is hardly an option anymore!Oh come on!! A wee little booze never hurt anyone, just look at the Irish!!

I dont know when u were planning to go but there are some reasonable fares from YYZ-LHR on AC and BA
Air India(AI) is ok..may be delayed....good Indian food....no PTVs....FAs tend to be nicer to non-Indian passengers (if that applies to you), but i dont know how the thru baggage check works with them....AI is also starting new YYZ-BHX(Birmingham,UK) on May 15th(using ex-UA B777, so ittle be the same interiors actually)
