First flight Airbus A380

I really think they should have made front-facing windows on the upper deck, would make a really wonderful permium observation lounge! At least as an option.
I really hope that composite materials research will one day give us something thin, strong, light, and transparent, so we can get rid of those tiny windows, and make nice observation lounges.

Diapers are distributed in Seattle.
When this bird takes off to make its round around Le Bourget for the airshow, it will be very quiet at the Boeing stand.
Many Japanese will hurdle out of the 787 cardboard mock up to look up in the sky. And we will hear them gasp "OOOHHH". And our poor ANA brothers will feel sad because they are not allowed to buy this baby.

This is not possible in my opinion. The cockpit is placed between the two decks of the plane. So they would have to lower the front part of the lower deck to make this observation lounge.earthman wrote:I really think they should have made front-facing windows on the upper deck, would make a really wonderful permium observation lounge! The A380 made it's first take off run/stop test today:

The floor of the upper deck seems to be above the top of the cockpit windows, I think there might be enough space above it to make a lounge there. I think currently it has stairs in that location anyway.waldova wrote:This is not possible in my opinion. The cockpit is placed between the two decks of the plane.
