Hainan got letter ... asking them not to fly to BRU

Post by ERICAIRLINES »

People from ''air'' (association of citizens living near the apt ) send a letter or a mail to hainan airlines management to advise them of big troubles if they ever want to fly to BRU one day !!
Incredible how those people can be so stupid !!It is a shame for Belgium !Imagine now BIAC trying to reassure them it was an isolated incident and not the view of the majority ....

Oh my god these people are more stupid than I had imagined 8O
Let's hope HU will be wiser enough to not listen to that kind of fool.
Now I got a suggestion that everyone in this community send a mail to HU and say that we are waiting for them with impatience here in BRU and that mail was just an isolated event. :D

This is nothing short of criminal. I hope they catch the people who did it and let them pay for their actions.

I'm pretty sure that if the figures are OK they won't bother receiving such a letter.

E.g., I don't think Saudi Arabian or any other airline would stop their routes from/to BRU one day just because of one childish letter from ignorant neighbours. They'd probably continue their operations as usual and maybe even go to court for blackmailing or something like that.

If this letter was indeed sent to Hainan, all I can do is laugh about it. Pretty childish, don't you think?

You know i hate people that move to an airport that was founded more or less 75years ago and then go whining about he noise when its the only national airport in the whole nation and is vital to belguims economy and they tell airlines shutup or move out when they should be doing that im positive they didnt all move there 75 years ago...
great idea about sending an email to hainan airlines... :D

That's exactly what WILOO did to Saudi Arabian ... Saudi didn't respond
Now, WILOO has filed a complaint and will go to court against Saudi Arabian because of "their way of flying" at EBOS ...

It's just their tactics, I can't believe this are adult people 8O Is this the society my children (don't have any yet  ) will have to grow up in ??? Where will it stop ?

A few years ago Schiphol got onto an international blacklist of dangerous airports, along with a bunch of airports in Africa and other underdeveloped places. The reason was that they made decisions about which runway to use based on environmental concerns before weather issues. If an aproach path had exceeded it's noise limits, they would use a different one.
This probably had something to do with the Transavia 757 going off the side of the runway and having it's nosewheel collapse, back in 1997. They encountered a strong crosswind and didn't quite manage to stay on track. Schiphol claims the crosswind was some exceptional circumstance, and they have since placed more windmeters along the runways, and now pass on wind info just before landing if this is different from the info at time of landing clearance. Fact remains that they would not have gotten that runway if the more suitable runway hadn't exceeded it's noise limitations.

I have read somewhere a comment how Hainan reacts on complaints by emails.
Get real, loosers, hope they do one day or the other a fuel drop above your barbecue.

What an idiots are those people.
An acquaintance who was in the senior management of the Deutsch Bank told me once: "There are no problems, only solutions".
So people, when you do have a problem with aircraft please move. :roll

Same goes for the people living around AMS/EHAM, your personal problems are not that important then the economy of a whole region (or even country). But people tend to forget the whole picture when they're personal environment is disturbed.

Nimby is popping up again.

hainan got letter not to fly to Bru

Post by Atlantis »

This is my first post on Luchtzak. I read this site for some years, but now it's time to react on some topics.
I think it's very urgent to react against those organisations who are sick in their head to say that airlines are not welcome in Belgium. They are selfish, they are against people who want to work at the airport.
But when those foolish people want to go on holiday they are taking of course the airplane. Then there is no problem any more. This evening I go writing an e-mail to 'Air' to say what I think of them.

Something very nice that you will write an E-mail. But the only tend to laugh with those E-mails as seen on the WILOO site.
The only problem is that they get the support of the press. I've never seen a newspaper or TV-station checking out if it is realy true that the noise inside homes near the airport is realy that high . No , every time that topic reaches the news they are standing at the end of 25L and recording a landing A/C. So the press also needs a nice E-mail.

Look at this:
http://www.bruairlibre.be/article.php3?id_article=829
(Go at the end of the page and click on "Lettre à Hainan Airlines" you will have the entire letter they have sent in English to HU)
One of their main arguments is that BRU was created during the World War 2 by the nazi and they used BRU as a base for their bombers 8O
UNBELIEVABLE!!! I have no words to describe this kind of sh*t.
I will also write to them and say my opinion.

BRU was created at a time when there was no one living in that area, except for a few farms, houses and a small village. There must be people from Air Libre Brussels reading this so please, have the balls to react in this topic.

Oh my God, this is so frustrating.

The less I hear from those "people", the better I am.
This is just ridiculous. How STUPID those idiots are !

I have 2 friends who live near the LGG airport (you know, night traffic). One lives at the end of rwy 23L, so he hears planes taking off everynight and he has no problem with it. He sleeps w/out any problem. Exactly the same thing for the other friend.

Gee, we should all write them an article too...
It drives me so nuts.

"Some residents are contemplating far more radical action. Some politicians have already received threatening letters from
people exasperated by frustration."

Take those people to court, because they become a danger to society .. they threaten more radical action and have sent threatening letters to politicians.

For God´s sake that is a criminal act!
