looks like the weather was your disadvantage...
Personally I don't even bother to go out with my camera if the weather is not ok, bad weather will result in bad pics, unless you have some very good (read : expensive) gear, and even then...
So, try again in sunshine and I'm sure your pics will be great...

I'm with you on that one Stoney ...
BUT he took some good pics in my opinion for a starting photographer-spotter !!
A lot of us will prolly confirm that starting pics aren't always that good ... seen the equipment he probably used to take these pics they're still quite oké !
But I can only confirm what you said Stoney, going out to take photographs ( of planes ) in good weather can only improve your shots !!
BUT he took some good pics in my opinion for a starting photographer-spotter !!
