How come turkish airlines always lands fast

Hey guys ive flown with many airlines before ive noticed the turkish pilots land very fast.

Why is this?.

The weight of the aircraft might have something to do with that. Tourists tend to take as much luggage with them as they are allowed to...

Don't think so, since Thomas Cook or TUI Airlines Belgium also are charters with loads of tourists and lugguage and they can perform smooth touchdowns.

Further on, I think it's a matter from pilot to pilot. Don't forget also about the conditions: wind, rain, fog, snow, ... it's all something different!

And last but not least; it's not becasue it's a hard/rough touchdown that it's a bad one.

Can think of a few reasons :

- company policy

- short runways/high temps/high landing weights : I was told that in other to apply the brakes, all wheels must have same speed, therefor a hard landing ( although this is known as -positive landing-)
motorcycling : sensation with a twist of the wrist

I think it's a matter from pilot to pilot.
Took the words right out of my mouth. Could be the weather conditions, could be that the F/O is flying the plane, or perhaps the auto-land isn't working properly. Or, something I don't think any of you have considered, their seats may not be comfy enough (therefor making landings FEEL harder). :wink:
