Iran Air Canada

Hi, Why doesnt Iran air fly to Canada, I understand that they have a considerable community there, and there is no political difficulties like the US so why no service from Iran Air?

I guess it depends on two factors:

- Iran Air has not the suitable aircraft to operate the route, nor is in the position to acquire some (due to the US embargo).
- Many Iranians living in Canada fled the Islamic regime, and I can understand that those people are not eager to get back to Iran as long as the regime is in power.

I just looked at the Iran Air website, and in the destination list I could find the next Canadian cities: Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

I quickly looked up a random flight (from Theran to Vancouver), and the website spit out the following information:

So it's clear that in this example there are several transfer point, and that the second leg of the journey is on another carrier. But I'm not sure about, and not seeing any kind of code-sharing.

Btw, the Iran Air website does look really good, it is very modern and has lots of information regarding the flights, Iran itself and about the airline self!

Yes, I remember the site. It is nice. I am always looking for new and exciting routes to LON, and thought Iranair might be nice. However it was all AC codeshares connecting in LHR from YYZ
