A new company will start flying soon in the Netherlands.
It is called (see subject).... MagicBlue Airlines bv
It will be a charter-airliner that will start flying with 2 Boeing 757's from former airline Dutchbird. Magic Blue is the new name for Farnair Europe, this airline only flew cargo before but wants to fly passengers now as well.
The idea is to start flying from Schiphol this summer.
The F27's are long gone, as well as their A300's. MJB already lease an MNG A300F to fly CGN-TLS each night, they have 2 x ATP's in conversion in Romania for delivery in May.
Here is a picture taken by Mike Lee of ATP G-BTPL in Magic Blue colours. It was taken at Exeter Airport where Flybe Engineering have been preparing it for delivery. I understand that the conversions are taking place at Exeter and not Romania for this aircraft.
I'm told thet G-BTPL will become PH-MJK & G-BUKJ will be PH-MJL.
G-BUKJ is still wearing basic Air Europa Express colours - although several fuselage panels have been replaced as they were damaged in a hail storm in Spain. It looks like it will be a couple of months (at least) before this aircraft is ready!
MagicBlue airlines BV (prefix MJB) has requested 921 (2 flights a day)slots for AMS this summer season. The initial plans to start flying begin at 4th of July. They plan to fly charter flights to the following destinations:
CFU (corfu)
LGW - no charter
AYT (antalya)
FAO (faro)
DLM (dalaman)
RHO (rhodos)
KGS (KOS)
BJV (bodrum)
ADB (izmir)
PMI Palma de Mallorca
GRO (girona)
In the beginning there were plans to launch flights to Kazachstan via Dusseldorf with an ex JAL A300B4 due to high demand of passengers for the oil industrie in Kazachstan.
Still no confirmation on exact times and days. Just wait and see
