Air India will start direct operations from Bahrain to Kerala's capital city of Trivandrum next month.
There will be two flights a week linking Bahrain and Trivandrum on Mondays and Fridays, when the winter schedule comes into effect on October 26.
Air India will thus become the first airline from Bahrain to operate to all three airports in Kerala - Cochin, Calicut and Trivandrum
The flight AI 952 on Mondays will leave Bahrain at 8.30 pm and arrive in Trivandrum at 4.55 am the next morning, after a brief stop in Cochin.
On Fridays, the flight will leave Bahrain at 7 pm and arrive in Trivandrum at 4.50 am.
The flight will be operated with an Airbus A310 aircraft, the capacity of which is 201 seats.

Passenger traffic at Beirut International Airport (BIA) increased by 16.7 percent in August 2003 compared to figures from the same period last year. Some 419,000 air travelers passed through the airport last month.

The airport?s traffic for the for the first eight months of 2003 reached 1.89 million visitors, up from 1.78 million in during the same period in 2002. Travelers destined for Lebanon accounted for 41 percent of the total travelers.

Most of the Middle East airlines are managed by professionals europeans or austrilians and some indians.
