Keep this one open as the message clearly states a date for the A380 first flight.
Guess no press is allowed because things can go wrong, but press is always invited to join the spotters next to the runway/airport
Hi all,
just to let you know: 9 april is certainly not confirmed yet, and probably the first flight will rather be towards the end of april. Reason for the delay: technical problems (no severe ones, just final adjustments).
I got this info from a friend of mine who has an internship at Airbus. They seem confident but they just don't want to rush things (wise, if you ask me!)
Regards,
Fred

The very first flight of the A380 will be delayed again.
Before the first flight they will perform a system and mechanical tests. They will also start the acceleration and braking tests on the runway!! The rumer goes that experts felt it would take at least two more weeks for these tests to be done.
So the date for the first flight is not clear. A newspaper quoted the airbus spokeswoman, she said that it was immaterial whether the aircraft had its first flight on April 10, 15 or 23 given it was to be sold for the next 35 years.
