Air Dolomiti, a Lufthansa carrier in Italy has decided to opperate the BAe 146, for future growth. The airline was first planning to aquire 737 equipment, but this has changes to BAe 146 equipment. The airline will slowly replace the CRJ 200 with the BAe 146, but will still fly with the ATR aircraft it currently posseses.

Thanks to all for the information.
I did some research on the frames mentioned by Tony, and found out that E3129, E3169 and E3193 are currently operated by Flightline. E3149 and E3155 are currently stored at FZO.
I think the BAe's will look splendid in the Air Dolomiti livery

Very strange decision, I don't understand why they are replacing CRJ with BAe-146?

And the leasing costs are probably lower than those of the CRJ's.

Looks great, And I must say they are a very good airline
Very stable but I guess that is down to Lufthansas influence and not the Italian government like AZ. Funny the 2 flourishing carriers in Italy Dolomiti and Air One both LH carriers.
Lets hope an Italian can get it right. Windjet maybe 8)

Air Dolomiti is fully owned by LH.
Air One is still fully independent (98% owned by gruppo toto). As SicilianFalcon said, Both are working with LH.

I agree, the colour scheme does looks nice on the BAe-146.
Does anyone knows on which route these will operate?
Thanks in advance.
