It is about time that Iberia starts rationalising their fleet. They had the most diversified fleet in Europe, if not in the world. Think about costs of maintaining so many types of aeroplanes!

Not at the moment, but Airbus leads some tests to do so. AFAIK, they will only change the softwares to be able to do an approach at 5.5°.

I remember reading it was supposed to get certiefied for the steep approach necessary at LCY.

Wauw, this is a huge order. I hope Iberia is not ordering too much. We have seen a good example of that in Belgium, with Sabena, they ordered to many planes.
For Airbus this is good news. 79 planes!!

Also lets hope they will manage to certify their planes for LCY. That would be a great deal!
