Well done boeing, Allthough they have won more orders in the last 2 months dont forget the big deals Airbus has with Easy Jet and Air Berlin amongst others. Both are selling lots of planes and this is good for us all
A company that turns a profit, typically, indidates a healthy company. I should be on Wallstreet!! I would make a lot more $$$ than flight instructing. Wouldn't be as fun though.

Money is money though. Money pays for stuff, like new airplane development. Boeing does not have the luxury of government support with new airplane development, although, I'd think it'd be pretty interesting if Boeing did recieve direct funding for commercial airplane development.

Not to the same extent that Airbus has, and I'm not including military projects. What my point was, I'd like to see Boeing Commercial recieve direct funding from the U.S. government for new airplane development. I think it would even the odds. I think it's only fair if EADS and Airbus recieve funding from their respective governments, so should Boeing (both for military projects, AND commercial).

Well, with a new airplane, a lot of customers will be initially interested (hence the order boom, if I recall the same happened with the A380). I suspect they shall taper off as the year goes by. I think it could be a combination of both the dollar weakness and Boeing revising its selling strategy.

Well the bulk of their 2005 orders until now, is made of 737NG's . So indeed I would rally to André's idea of the weak dollar .
