So what now?
Ok, I read the 7 pages and still I don't know for sure which runway AF1 will touchdown...
Where do you guys go?
Steenokkerzeel, the newly opened road to the new tower?
or
something else?
I'll be there at 20u I think...

at the moment 25R and 25L are in use for landing
sunday evening peak for departures, normally 25R is less used for landing
but BRU will be TEMPO closed so I don't think departures will be an issue
wind now is 31004KT TAF forecast being 34007KT
with the current weather it should stay 25L and 25R
with a possible request from them for rwy 02 (which I doubt - crosswind component is not that high)
so departure was about 1430-1500 belgium time
with a flight time of about 6-7 hours that should be an arrival between 2100-2200
at least they are dressed for the nice belgian weather

1. Melsbroek is NOT the destination of AF1. I know 100% sure that the arrival destination is EBBR (Brussels Int) and not EBMB (Melsbroek)druptown wrote:so, the guys who say that it will be melsbroek, are your sources reliable?
and the same quistion of course for the ones who say apron 3?
2. I can also confirm apron3.
Everyone who says something else, I'm very sorry, but your wrong. Trust me on this one.
Andrews Airforce base - EBBR is approximately an 8 hour flight.

I think Apron 3 is the one also known as "the satellite", close to where 25L en 02 cross eachother.AirforceNiels wrote:Hi guys,
Can someone tell me where apron 3 is situated and from where you can take pictures :zoom 300 ?
for a ground chart of EBBR from the flightsim community, see the pdf in

As above said, Apron 3 is located near the old Pier C. No much possibilities getting a decent shot of AF1 when he arrives.
Possible locations:
1. motorcross-circuit near 02
2. sandhills (with monster-zoom)
Both will need 500mm I think to get quite a close shot. 8th floor will be unaccessible I suppose...

I've got no idea about arival times either, but they departed around 1500 GMT, so that's + 7 or 8 and -1, so it will probably arrive around 2100-2200 local Brussels time.
EDIT: AF 1 was working Boston center this afternoon at 1320zulu (Brussel timezone seems more logically to me), SAM 94 was a few minutes in front of him. (credit: Scramble)
According to the ReachHunters-list, Bush departed arround 13.55h (perhaps zulu??) from Andrews AFB.
Based on all this information and the normal jetstream, I would say they arrive around 2100 Brussel time.
