Hello folks!

It seems there is another person there , that thinks
that AF1 MUST LAND at daylight.

And more about the EU-meeting...

If it's the 21th or the 22nd , is it possible to see EU-meeting-planes landing the 20th???? (like Mr. Blair's B777(BA) , and some others??????)

I just go the whole weekend...or at least...that's what i hope and plan...if the weather is on my side...and see what it gives...if it is a bad weekend...i'm going to sorry for it a VERY LONG TIME i'm afraid...because after that i'm going to have so short in money that i can't spot for a wile so... And i would really feel bad to wait 4 year for Airforce One to come to BRU , and than missing it....!!!!! I'm really afraid!

Actually i have more hope , and i setted my sentences at the militairy transport , in a desperate try just to see a C-5 and the EU-meeting planes...but...even that's difficult. :?

Hoping and praying ( and counting down )

Best regards: Yannick

External affairs confirms it's going to be Sunday evening. No info on whether it'll be daylight or not.

Hello folks!

Like all the other questions aren't enough , i have another important question. What do you guys think of this???

The weather has his effect on the 'Airforce One'-spotting too.
The last days the wind is kind a variable , North , East/North-East (or at least here) so it looks like , when the wind continues going like this it's possible that all planes will land at RWY 02. But if they do...would 'Airforce One' take the risk to land at RWY 25R?????? I think it's possible if Northern winds , not by Eastern winds , i guess that's too dangerous.

Altough it's just waiting for the weather , because , rainy weather can litterly flush your day.

So it's one of those big problems weather conditions , and what effect will they have???

Anyway i heard from my dad , who had heard it from the radio , that...when 'Airforce One' arrives...all the other airtraffic would be delayed/stopped for an half hour. So...if it's true than it's an easy and good way to know what's going to happen...

I really hope i see it and hopefully also a C-5 saturday.
If ANY....ANY...and i really mean ANY info is available about the material transports...please tell me before Saturday , even rough guesses are welcome.

Best regards and success in spotting AF1: Yannick ;)
(hope to see some of you guys there Sunday)

Hello Yannick,

The Presidential Blackhawk helicopter was already brought in today by a C-17 Globemaster 95-0107. The C-17 was parked at Abelag and the unloaded helicopter was pulled into the hangar, accompanied by some 25 soldiers.

I have a picture of the C-17 but it's still in the queue.

Regards, Robin Bamps.

EDIT: The picture was accepted  http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.php?id=306721

As far as I known, all the traffic on the airport has to stop from the moment AF-1 is on final until he is parked.

I'm not sure if I 'll make in to EBBR on saturday but I'll sure be there on sunday or in the neighbourhood with my scanner on.

in the meanwhile I 'll share my photo of that other american beauty that parked at brussels last week. Mark that the link is temporary untill the shot has been accepted by jetphotos than I have to update the link which may take a day or two.

Wait a moment...Does that means there want be more 'material-support-flights'?????

Am i still able to see that C-5 that i was expecting , maybe at Saturday???

Because else...hey man...than i just leave it for what it is...than i want go spotting ....and maybe neither 'Airforce One'...only too bad that i had to wait 5 years for it ,and that it will be the last time that AF1 comes to BRU before getting replaced by the .....7E7???? (just assuming)....so i would really feel bad about it but...maybe it's just better to forget the possibility that i can see him.....

By the way , anyone an idea about my guessing about the arrival at RWY02?????

Waiting in fear: Yannick :(

That is still a good possibility. I have seen Clinton arriving twice in Geneva with Air Force One, and in both cases a C-5 arrived the day before with the armoured limousines and a lot of other equipment.

Indeed, after arrival the aircraft will probably towed to the cargoapron.
Is it on Brucargo, or at DHL?

All we can do in case of a late night arrival is hope for a parking spot at Abelag.

But if it's going to be parked at the AML, then chances of getting decent photos are limited, unless you have airside access at the AML.

Yannick,

Now tell me, why should AF1 land on 25R when all the other planes land on 02? Now that would be a dangerous situation! Why are you in such a panic?

Advice : try to leave your scanner home, I think there is a big chance that the police will "control" you, and I don't think they will like it

Personally, I think chances of getting her on photo while arriving are quite low.

Any news on her departure time? I might take the day off next Wednesday.

Greetings,
Ivan

the military apron is quite visible when you drive to Steenokkerzeel church coming from the Haachtsesteenweg. There is a newx roundabout with the new accessroad for the belgocontrolcenter. You can climb on the dirtwall quite easely and have a great view from there, even from the ground you can see a lot. Second good place is behind the new policestation of Steenokkerzeel, but that damn An_124 is still in the way there.
