There are no Lanzarote flights on Thursdays. It was a Malaga-Alicante flight. And it was not OO-TUC but a 738.

Still problems?

Believe it or not, but on 11/02 OO-TUC is scheduled on the Varadero-Cancun route, etd 0610. But I guess most spotters will be lying in bed instead of verifying ;). Check also the spotters DB for the coming Exel/Thomas Cook soap.

I hope the flight leaves on schedule (OO-TUC or another plane), as I'm booked on it, and I would like to start my week off on time...
Of course, I would prefer OO-TUC, but given the troublesome past weeks, I hope it is finally ready to fly...
I'll keep you informed.

Given the maintenance troubles, I'm not sure I would want to be on the first real flight on OO-TUC...

It has done 3 test flights and the last one lead to the conclusion that it is safe and there is no problem anymore.

We are in Belgium, where rules are strict, I honnestly doubt a belgian carrier would fly more than 200 passengers to the other part of the earth with technical problems. Common sense.

This morning I came back from Tel Aviv night-flight @ 5AM and our Airbus was parked just next to OO-TUC Boeing 767. I immediately thought about this topic! Then at security-control I met the entire TUI-crew and asked the pilots that they had to fly OO-TUC. 'Affirmative' and wished them good luck ;-)

At 07h45, BRU arrivals (www.biac.be/arrivals) says:

12/02 07:20 Varadero TUB8552 delayed 02:40
via Cancun

= a delay of some 20 hours ? ? ?
