Is it a normallly scheduled maintenance?Fuji-Monster wrote:OO-SFM is on maintenance at Munich.
Now I understand better why all SN African flights have been rescheduled, often with 3 destinations per flight instead of two.

Welcome back.... @ +- 10.00am
Feb = bad revenue month
Yes some used to say, Februari is always the worst revenue month.sn26567 wrote:The reduced schedule (2 African flights per day) is in force until the end of the month.
They forget it is 10% shorter than the longest month, so statistically revenue is also 10% down for that reason.
Now a short month with reduced schedule. What can one expect?
Much lower revenue of course... But losses maybe projectable in this specific case, and some reserve should probably have been built up - if not it's bad management.
But for another reason, business is slack in Februari.
People who are longtime used to fly in or over Africa do not like this month for its thunder and rain storms.
In case BEAP had started in JAN, they would have found out that FEB is a bad month for revenue, whereas fixed cost stay the same.... (JAN & FEB are no good start up month)
