Post by Loadcontroller »

Hi pilots!!

I'm specialized in flying 737-600 & 700 ... Which virtual airline should I take...

I would like to be a member of easyjet...but it seemed that there VA is no longer active...

So which airline?

Malev has one. Only in Hungarian language.

You could try Austrian. I am a member of that one, and you can fly 737s in Lauda colours. Also, they have a large variety of other aircraft for you to fly - CRJs, Dash 8, A320, MD80, Fokker 70 and larger types as well.

http://www1.aua.com/virtual/ that is their site

here you can see some screenshots of one of the Lauda 737s.

Also, do Ryanair have a VA?

Lauda have the aircraft you like - the 737 600 and -700. You have to download and install the AVA flight management system, and then fly a checkflight from Vienna to Linz to make sure the software is working. After that you fly any route you like from the timetable.

A friend of mine takes care of the website.

Kind regards,

That's a nice site, I tried to find Ryanair VA once before but the link led nowhere so I assumed it had closed down. I have a logojet in my collection and am looking for something to do with it, so I will probably join.

Loadcontroller;

We are currently working on a new Dutch VA's Group.

We will include: DutchbirdVA, TransaviaVA and MartinairVA normally.

So you could join TransaviaVA in the near future if you would be interested.

The site will be published in March normally. I said normally because you can't predict such things really as many stuff still could go wrong.

If you are interested plz tell me and I will pass the site's address in the future!

Regards,
Tommy

Yes Comet, it was another website done by another person before, and Jonatan (the actual VA CEO) took it over and updated the website, so he also changed the URL.

To the person looking for a VA, I would just say:
Go to the airline you like!!! Don't register here and there and change all the time, follow what you like, that's all! :wink:

Kind regards,

I registered with several VAs, mainly because I like flying a variety of aircraft from many different airports. British Airways have a very diverse fleet - from Twin Otters up to the Concorde (they still fly that in the VA) and beginners can fly the 767 as well. I chose Austrian to fly more CRJs and smaller Fokker jets. Lufthansa because I have a beautiful A321 in their colours, Go and Flybe because I like the routes they fly. I joined SNBA because of who they are.

I would recommend to anyone that they join a VA if they have Flight Sim because it gives them something to do with it.

Indeed Comet;

Its not a must to particulary choose for only 1 VA. I have flown within several VA's in the past and I still do these days.
What you maybe do not find in one VA, you can find it in others(like friendly staff, nice aircrafts, good atmosphere,...)
These are still stuff that you do behind your desk, so it is indeed a matter of enjoying and pleasure!

Commet: Do you know the site of GO Virtual Airline?
