Ryanair Future Bases

Post by Buzz »

I found this in a powerpoint presentation about their Q3 results. They used to say they would expand to 25 mil. pax and they be the biggest, but now it seems they have made new plans.

Wouldn't this be a bit of an overkill?

Those are plans, but nowhere they say how many years it'll take them to grow to that size.

To me it seems a little bit exaggerated...

Economies of scale - if the demand is there for Ryanair, it will happen.

I must agree with you Buzz, that is a VERY extensive base network. Do they have the infrastructure to support this growth???

They still have about 70 Boeing 737-800s on order, so these planes will have to go somewhere.
I think they may have quite a lot of options on the 738s also

Ryanair have announced that they will be flying between Finningley (bloody Robin Hood Doncaster-Sheffield, what a bloody crass name  ) and Dublin when the airport opens for passengers in April. Could be a popular route because people from the east who wanted to go to Dublin had often to travel to the other side of the country to MAN or Liverpool. Routes from LBA to Dublin have been on and off.

There was also a big piece about it on the local TV news, that is what got my attention because it was showing computer mock ups of the passenger areas and such like.
