What's Your Favourite FS Aircraft?

Post by Comet »

Which is the best FS aircraft you have? I like my Airbus collection - A319/320 and 321. I have an A340-600 but haven't worked with it yet. I also have some beautiful vintage British jets - Comet, VC10, Trident and 1-11.

I have just finished a flight for British Airways Virtual with my Twin Otter, a delight to fly even though it is only a small prop.

My 767 is a real :censored: though.

Airbusses: A320/321

Boeing: B737-700/800(preferable with winglets) and B767/777(no flights with the 777, only some virtual cockpit visits)

Tommy

Helicopters :)

Like the Bell 205 or the BK-117

But it is hard to fly without pedals. The twisted joystick isn't a good comparison.

I don't gel very well with helicopters, I am still practising. The CRJ is very good. I have the POSKY one, and it is superb, climbs like a rocket and flies like a dream. The Dreamwings Dash 8 can be a handful but their ERJ145 is very good. I also have a beautiful 737-300 but I am not sure of the designer of that one.

allthough it has been a very long time ago I used my flightsim I like the pmdg boeing 737NG model very much...
Second favourite is the Antonov AN125 and the AN225, this last one is a pain for taxiing, but flies really well...

This thread makes me wanna fire up the old flightsim again, maybe I'll give it a go tonight...

I did a flight for Go with that one last night. It's FFX designed and is normally beautifully behaved, but played up a little on approach last night.

definately the PMDG 737 models. They are the best and most realistic (SIC real 737 pilot) ever made for FS!!

I'll look those up Killerwhale, I do like a realistic aircraft.

My old British jets are beauties with the genuine cockpits, and genuine engine sounds. They were all freeware from the cover disk of a PC Pilot magazine. I'll do some screens of them when I have them out again. At the moment I'm having problems with the "spot view" so I cannot take screens :( It is all caused by that Active Camera thing. I tried to uninstall it but it wouldn't uninstall correctly so I am stuck with it

that pmdg is the best Comet, but you will need some time to learn, it's pretty complicated. First time I flew it only to start the engines took me about 30 minutes...
By the way, PMDG is payware but you can find it for free through the usual channels ;)
